Anders Andersens Rengøring is one of Denmark's leading and largest cleaning companies, and a supplier to several of Denmark's largest and most reputable companies and real estate companies. The young Andersen's focus on 'good quality and proper service' remains very basic. That is why Anders Andersen's Cleaning is today a 'brand' that is known for delivering quality work within the three core areas; Daily cleaning, Window cleaning and Property service.

“Now we can quickly see if there are customers we are at risk of losing due to delivery failure. We can see why and what effect it has on the bottom line, ”says Jens Hvidsteen, IT Administrator at Anders Andersen Rengøring. “This means that we can get customers in advance and correct mistakes and shortcomings, so that they remain happy and satisfied. After all, it has a huge value for us because it contributes to customer retention. The overview and insight that Power BI has provided has really made our director close his eyes. ”

It all started with absence registration via a mobile app, but the reporting was not good enough to be able to use the new knowledge proactively. In parallel, Anders Andersen Rengøring developed a quality registration system which, via tablets with digital floor plans on the customers, tells about the quality of the cleaning at a given customer all the way down to the cleaning of individual objects and surfaces such as chairs and tables. Nor was this data used to optimize the business, because Anders Andersen Rengøring could not display data in a way so that they could easily decode and interpret it.

"But then we met Accobat at a seminar where we were shown the possibilities with Business Intelligence (BI)", says Jens Hvidsteen. "The simple and clear approach to a BI project that could be completed within a reasonable time and with a project scope that was not too big a mouthful to start with, convinced us that we should collaborate with Accobat, ”Explains the IT administrator and continues:“ And then there was good chemistry. It is also important when choosing a partner for projects - also in relation to future solution development. ”

The collaboration took place onsite at the company, so that Accobat's BI architect could familiarize himself with the business and the challenges that were.

"After just 3 days of handing over knowledge about tables, relationships and database, Jannick (BI architect, ed.) Could both advise on better use of eg the database with best-practice methods and build a strong data structure," says Jens Hvidsteen .

Today, most managers and middle managers in the cleaning company use Power BI to get an overview of absenteeism and cleaning quality and from this analyze the risk of loss of customers due to any failure in the delivered quality.

Anders Andersen Rengøring now has a better overview of in which areas the risk of quality failure is greatest. “I have made a top-ten in Power BI that shows what our employees have been least good at cleaning. We had no idea about that before. Now we can offer them teaching in this, so they get better, ”explains Jens Hvidsteen.

“I absolutely love the drill-down functionality, where with a few clicks of the mouse we can drill down into the data visualizations of a given customer - from the customer's name, over the cleaning assistant's name, and to the specific room and specific table that has received a poor quality score. We can also do cross-analyzes on absence and quality, so we can see if there is a connection and if a possible course of the disease is getting worse, so that we can intervene and help. Fortunately, however, we have a record low sickness absence in our industry of 2.3 percent, and we can maintain this, among other things, because it is known in the organization that we have a daily focus on it. It also makes it easier for us to praise and reward the most stable and loyal employees, so that there is not only a focus on those with the most absences. ” Anders Andersen Rengøring has almost 1000 employees.

It is already a wish that Power BI is expanded organizationally, so the solution also can be used to report and analyze financial data. “We would like to use Power BI on our ERP system (MS Dynamics AX), but I would also like it to be used on other systems that contain relevant business data. And it does not require more than a little curiosity to be able to easily get started using Power BI in everyday life, ”concludes Jens Hvidsteen, who expects the number of users to increase from 22 to 60 in a short time.
